Thompson Clark is the editor of Focus. Ever since his first successful stock recommendation – made to his father at the age of 10 – Thompson has always found unique ways to make money both inside and outside the financial markets. From flipping brand-new Nikes to renovating distressed rental houses, Thompson’s specialty is finding special situations, no matter where or how they manifest.
Thompson spent his early career in New York City for a Big 4 accounting firm. He also spent time at a boutique investment research shop on Wall Street. Later he founded Agora Financial’s Microcap Millionaires in 2013, eager to bring his research on small and microcap stocks to the masses. Over the three-year period of running the service, he racked up gains of 83%, 93%, 119% and 175% as the result of deep research on small, undiscovered microcap companies.
In 2016, Thompson partnered up with longtime newsletter writer and author Chris Mayer and joined Bonner and Partners. Chris and Thompson worked side by side to help readers make money on 100-bagger opportunities. They also oversaw Bill Bonner’s $5 million brokerage account. Thompson is a graduate of Emory University. He’s both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
